Stan Lee - the man who taught many to dream and creator of many fantastic but flawed super-heroes like Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor and more from the Marvel Cinematic Universe - passed-away at the age of 95.
Apart from his skills as a comic book creator and editor, Mr. Lee had graced many movies, comic books, video-games and sit-coms with his cameos, which were quite legendary. So much so that there have been times when the cameo is more memorable than the movie itself, but that’s Stan Lee for you.
Here is a quick look back at of all the times, Stan Lee won our hearts with his big, small but mostly hilarious cameos.
This cameo topped all our social-media polls and fans would agree. Stan Lee playing chess on the news, genius!
This was Stan Lee’s first talking cameo.
Coming to a more recent one, Stan Lee features as a mural in this still from Deadpool 2. Even though it was a blink-and-you-miss-it, there was no way that the fans were gonna miss it.
Recently, Lee made a rare appearance as himself on the CBS sit-com, The Big Bang Theory. Like many other comic-book junkies, Lee was the gang’s idol.
This appearance of Lee is the perfect embodiment of ignorance is bliss.
He’s on the bus reading a copy of The Doors of Perception during the battle between Doctor Strange, Mordo, and Kaecilius. Because reading> super hero/villian fight.
Photos of Stan Lee pop up throughout various seasons of Netflix’s Marvel series including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and The Punisher.
Lee played Gary, who yells at spider-man for causing disturbance and also warns the punk!
Apart from movies and TV, Stan Lee has several cameos in animations and video games. The most significant one being his first-ever onscreen video game appearance as a senator named after himself in Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
Fans are hopeful that they will get to see him one last time in a cameo for the Marvel Avengers 4 movies. The rumours state that he has already shot for his part in the movie.
