A quote we hear often when we’re young, but forget as years go by. But 19-year-old Mackenzie Mauller didn’t. After she paid for coffee for a woman sitting behind her at Starbucks, the lady was so moved by her act that she surprised her with a hand-written letter and opened up how Mauller’s single act got her through a difficult time.
The stranger she had bought the coffee for, also replied to her tweet. Interestingly, It turns out that they are actually neighbours.
Starbucks also tweeted the photo with the caption “Kindness Matters.”
Twitter users loved Mauller’s gesture and in responding to the viral tweet, they said how they too, will also try to be kind to strangers.
Some said it made their day while others shared their own stories of strangers being considerate and thoughtful.
Have you ever done something for a stranger that made both you and them feel good? Tell us in the comments!
