Even as Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was grilled by 44 US senators for over five long hours on Tuesday, Twitter had its own fun ripping Zuckerberg’s performance apart for being suspiciously un-human.
Zuckerberg was called on to testify before US lawmakers in two sittings over the recent Cambridge Analytica scandal, data privacy concerns and Facebook’s complicity in the spread of fake news and hate speech globally.
But those issues took a backseat when Twitter users noticed something strange about Zuckerberg’s manner and affect.
Observers also seemed obsessed with an extra cushion on Zuckerberg's chair that was dubbed his "booster seat."
And despite having spent five grueling hours before the 44 senators, Zuckerberg walked out of the testimony largely unscathed.
