In what seems like a global outage, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and WhatsApp users are facing issues related to uploading and downloading photos and other media files.

Users across India, Europe, Africa and the US have reported similar issues.

While the chat interface is working properly, stories, and transferring and downloading media files appear to be hampered in the case of WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook.

Freaking out about the outage, users took to Twitter to express their panic. #InstagramDown, #FacebookDown and #WhatsApp became three of the leading India trends.

Some believe the end of the world is near.

While others seem to be looking at life in a whole new light.
