This Math Problem Left Twitter Clueless So It Ended Up Memeing It

This seemingly simple math equation has Twitterati hooked and in splits at the same time.

If you thought you had left your Math woes behind you, here’s something Twitter has in store for you.

When a Twitter user threw a Math equation at the Twitter universe, people seemed perplexed to say the least. What seemed like a simple high school question got Twitter thinking.

A man named KJ Cheetham whose bio says that he loves Physics, tweeted the following equation:

A maths meme that is actually funny rather than stupid: Solve carefully! 230 - 220 x 0.5 = You probably won’t believe it but the answer is 5!

The tweet was posted on 13 July and it already has over 30,000 re-tweets and almost 60,000 likes.

Twitter is a curious place for people. Apart from the many memes and jokes that one sees there, it is also a melting pot of every person’ likes and dislikes. And it literally takes a few re-tweets to make something go viral on the platform.

After grappling with the problem for sometime, Twitter gave up and started roasting the problem with memes instead. Here’s how:
