The staff at Rio Cinemas in London pulled off an epic spoof of the Oscar goof-up by playing 20 seconds of La La Land at the start of Moonlight. The audience of the sold-out show got the joke and the entire room applauded.

They played a snippet from the teaser of La La Land and pretended to have a little fumble to make it look as honest as possible. But hey the audience knows it all, right?

While the theatre played it well, these Twitter users also had some hilarious takes on the mess-up.
