According to NCRB, 92 rapes are reported in India every day.

In the past few years, names like Nirbhaya, Suzette, Jisha have been seared into the public memory, along with details of cruelties so vivid that any person’s head hangs in shame at the state of our nation, at our pestilential patriarchy, at our rape culture.

Not Salman Khan, though.

Bhai, with his surefire hits and his legions of adoring fans, doesn’t play by anybody else’s rules. So when he recently confessed to feeling like a “raped woman” due to Sultan’s gruelling shoot schedule, his family and his bhakts rushed in to form a barricade against the criticism.
