Sandy Hook Foundation, which was established in the US after a shooting in Connecticut’s Sandy Hook Elementary School left 26 dead in 2012, has released a “Back To School” themed PSA.

Over the years, the foundation has released several PSAs which have gone viral.

The “Back To School” PSA shows students repurposing their regular school supplies like bag-packs, binders, bottles, scissors, skateboards, etc, when under attack.

The PSA ends with the text: “It’s back to school time and you know what that means. School shootings are preventable when you know the signs.”

‘True and Powerful’: Twitterati Reacts to the Video

There were many who reacted on Twitter after watching the PSA. While some ended up feeling disappointed about the present situation of the world and how the ‘back-to-school’ excitement is no more what it used to be, other felt the video gives a powerful message and is the reality of today.

There are some who also felt that the US government should work on their gun laws and regular drills should be conducted to train the kids.
