Sachin Tendulkar, India’s most prolific batsman, has more than just cricket tricks up his sleeve. People who know Tendulkar closely often praise him for being an impeccable cook, and as an ode to the women in his life, he cooked them baingan ka bharta this Women’s Day. Now, isn't that adorable?
The bharta looks like a hearty dish that we too would have loved to taste but only two ladies were fortunate enough. His mother Rajni Tendulkar and wife Anjali Tendulkar were the lucky recipients of this lovely gift on Women’s Day. His daughter Sara was travelling and couldn’t be part of the celebration but he dedicated the dish to her too.
Looks like Tendulkar owns not just the pitch but also the kitchen. His love for food isn't a secret and he owes his cooking skills to his mother. We think she taught him well because back in the ’90s, he had cooked baingan ka bharta for the entire Indian team at Ajay Jadeja’s home, according to an India Today report.
“This bharta is for my mother, Anjali and Sara. I want my mother to taste this first because she used to spend hours cooking this for me when I was a kid,” Tendulkar is heard saying in the video. “I’m making this baingan bharta especially for my mother, of course Anjali is there,” he says. He can be seen entering his mother’s room too, seeking her approval. Too cute to handle!
The video ends with Sachin’s mother praising him and calling the dish “tasty”. We totally loved this moment and Tendulkar’s sweet gesture!
