Maggi lovers finally have a reason to celebrate: Our beloved two-minute noodles are back next month. And Maggi definitely has a huge fan-following. From taste-makers to news-breakers, the slurpy noodle has been boiling in hot waters for far too long.
On October 26, Nestle announced that it has resumed the manufacturing of Maggi at three of its Indian facilities – Karnataka, Punjab and Goa.
Happy Diwali folks!
We, at The Quint, wondered how some celebrities would react to this masaledar news.
Breathe in, breathe out!
Baba Ramdev is not a happy man. After announcing ‘made in India’ Patanjali instant atta noodles, Babaji hoped to replace good ol’ Maggi both, on the shelves and in the hearts of the people. Alas! All that Ramdev is left with is baba ji ka thullu.
The similarities in the tales of Sallu Bhai and Maggi bring to mind memories of Karan in Mahabharata. While everyone disliked Karan for his deeds, they still sympathised with him.
Only Bhai can understand Maggi’s plight. Both have a massive following and have staged an equally massive comeback.
What’s common between Maggi noodles and Aamir Khan?
Both are watery.
Aamir Khan has become the butt of all jokes for his teary-eyed high emotional quotient. So, it’s not difficult to guess how the PK actor might have reacted to the Maggi news.
Who knows? He might even share a piping hot bowl of Maggi with Salman Khan. After all do dost ek pyaale se Maggi khaayenge, isse dosti badhti hai. What say?
After the actor was slapped with a notice by Haridwar Food and Drug Administration, Madhuri Dixit met with the Nestle officials, who assured her that there would be no compromise on the quality. She stood by the company’s claims and it turned out to be a wise move. Seems like Madhuri Dixit got the last laugh – mummy knows best!
