Mitron, as you would know Narendra Modi has far too many friends in India as well as abroad (Bhai, apna Barack!). One year is enough for Modi to test who his real friends are and who aren’t.
The Quint gives you a list of people, who Modi would love to unfriend.
She was Modi sarkaar’s umeed ki kiran but instead she turned out to be the Ghar ki Bedi jo Lanka (BJP) Dhaaye! Winning only three seats in the Delhi election - Yes, one, two, three. Bas! What made it worse was Crane Bedi couldn’t even lift the BJP to victory in her own constituency. Sigh!
And you still want to know why Narendra Modi wants to unfriend her?
Bhai dekh Nawaz, you’re not being shareef. How could you even say that your desire for good neighbourly relations with India has not been reciprocated? Who invited you for the swearing-in-ceremony? Huh?
Abh inka kaun ‘Saamana’ karega? Even Modi ji doesn’t want to. Simple solution, ignore him. Mongolia will love you for it.
After his 56 day sabbatical RaGa has come back with some rarely-seen-before josh. He has also found a new filmi script writer who is giving him one hit dialog after the other - ‘suit-boot ki sarkar’... ‘I give this Govt, zero out of ten!’ But who would like to be judged by Pappu? Unfriend, now.
Kissa Dilli ki kursi ka. The Aam Aadmi Party won 67 of the 70 seats in the Delhi elections. The BJP won 3. Need we say more?
Friend turned foe - that sums up Arun Shourie’s relationship with Narendra Modi’s relationship. After being passed over as Finance Minister, after not even being given a chair at the Niti Aayog, Shourie has been a regular ‘in-house’ critic of the Modi sarkaar. This is one phraaandship Modi would not ‘un-phraaand’ very quickly. Dost, dost na raha.
Sakshi Maharaj is a perfect case study for the chronic foot-in-mouth disease. Maharaj ji just doesn’t learn. From calling Nathuram Godse a “patriot” to urging Hindu women to have “four children”. He even blamed Rahul Gandhi for the Nepal earthquake because Rahul allegedly eats beef.
Now, why would NaMo want to remain friends with him?
BJP MP Giriraj Singh is a Sakshi Maharaj clone when it comes to kicking the hornet’s nest. Singh’s love for Modi is so much that he wanted to kick all Modi haters out of the country. If this wasn’t it, he also said a ‘Giri hui baat’ against the Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
So Giriraj. You are hereby ‘unfriended’.
