Have you heard of the Nabha Jail in Punjab? If not, then do this little activity before reading further:
Log on to Facebook and search for Nabha Jail. Your feed will be flooded with check-ins, photographs and stylish selfies in gaudy poses from inside the prison.
Aren’t these guys serving a jail term for a reason? If yes, then what are they doing with mobile phones inside the prison cells, you may ask.

The practice came under the scanner when Vicky Gounder, a member of an infamous gang in Punjab, posted gory images of a goon from a rival gang taking responsibility of his murder. The graphic images lead one to the larger question of the easy accessibility of gadgets to the inmates.

Ironically those imprisoned come across as less “chained” than those sitting on the other side and viewing them on Facebook. Such is life!
