In the latest World Health Organisation (WHO) ranking on pollution levels, India had more than 30 of its cities in the list of hundred most polluted ones.

Reports from Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) show a drastic increase in pollution after Diwali celebrations across the country every year.

This Diwali, school children, activists, artists, and even the government started campaigns to celebrate a cracker free Diwali.

Because, it is not just air pollution, but the noise pollution and also the harm caused to animals makes it a good enough reason to not burst crackers on Diwali.

When the Mumbai Police asked people to celebrate a cracker free Diwali, one Twitter user didn’t seem to like it and asked the police to mind their own business.

The Mumbai Police gave a calm and composed reply to the Twitter user, very subtly asking him to abide by the law.
