On Saturday, the United Kingdom celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday with the Trooping the Colour ceremony. The Queen had turned 90 in April but her official birthday is marked in June. The birthday girl managed to keep all the attention on her with a striking fluorescent green ensemble. The Queen broke all rules by dressing in the bright colour, which led many to remark that her clothes resembled the green screen used for SFX in movies.

Unfortunately for the Queen, the green suit didn’t remain green for long... it became a canvas for people’s imagination. Internet users made the Queen wear batman’s outfit, her husband’s uniform, a burger, among other hilarious wardrobe changes. She even projected the weather and Stars Wars’ last scene.

According to me, Queen Elizabeth looked rather cute in her feisty green outfit. At least she managed to keep the spotlight on her, lest it be stolen by her adorable great-grandchildren!
