Mumbaikars woke up to heavy rains on Friday morning. Parts of the economic capital witnessed the first heavy rains of the season. While many celebrated the onset of monsoon in the city, water-logging was reported in low-lying areas of Mumbai.
A number of netizens on Twitter reported water-logging on Mumbai roads, which led to massive traffic jams in the city.

Some also reported that the jams led to a hike in the prices of cabs booked through mobile applications like Ola and Uber.
Low visibility was reported around Mumbai Airport. However, no flight operations were affected.
Local trains too remained unaffected. Western Railways tweeted a confirmation regarding the same.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) tweeted weather warnings on Friday morning.
