EL James’ Fifty Shades of Grey has received media attention for many reasons, however, the reason for it to trend today was quite unforeseen. Congress leader Manish Tewari cited the novel’s title while elucidating his party’s stance on the effective revocation of Article 370 on Tuesday, 6 August.

In yesterday’s Lok Sabha session, the Centre decided to revoke Article 370, which granted special status to the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
