So, the Kalank trailer just dropped.
And now we finally know what the movie’s central conflict is all about — forbidden love.
The movie, which stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt and is co-produced by Fox Star Studios, Sajid Nadiadwala, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta, is slated to release on 17 April.
Well, Alia Bhatt's character Roop pretty dramatically says how a decision she took in a fit of rage dramatically altered the course of six lives.
In the movie, her character is married off to Aditya Roy Kapur’s character, Dev Chaudhry, who is of course from a super rayees background, (don’t know why we had to write it also, as if the sets and regal costumes hadn’t already made it obvious).
But since her husband already makes it clear, that “iss rishte mein izzat hogi pyaar nahin hoga”, because he is still married to his first wife, Satya (Sonakshi Sinha), Roop initiates an illicit affair with Zafar(Varun Dhawan).
Now, what follows as a result of this forbidden love, is what the movie’s plot is going to answer. But the backdrop of India's partition, the hint of communal tensions all promise to make it a pretty gripping watch.
No sooner did the trailer drop, that the dramatic, over the top-dialogues made their way to the memeverse and how.
For now, we can just say that Kalank memes are making sure their humor has no kalank.
