In Fukui Japan, a Buddhist monk was ticketed by a traffic police citing that his traditional garb was interfering with his safety.

According to this The Japan News report, the monk was charged for ‘driving in kimono that could affect safe driving.’ The said monk also had to pay a fine of Yen 6000, which is Rs 3,875 approximately.

In case you are wondering what these garbs looks like, and why it could come in the way of flexibility, take a look:

Now that driving ticket stirred up the monk community in Japan (and beyond) and they decided to take to Twitter to show just how agile they can get in their religious clothes. They started a Tweet storm saying ‘I can do this in my monk clothes’.

The result was awe-inspiring and entertaining for Twitterati.

From performing very difficult juggling acts to picking up light sabers of the ‘Star Wars’ fame, the monks left no stone upturned to restore their honor.
