Janmashtami: Handis May Be Lower, But Govindas Are On A High

There is nothing that can dull Janmashtami celebrations in Mumbai, not even the honourable Supreme Court. Almost everyone vehemently disagreed with the age and height restrictions they were ordered to follow during the popular competitive sport of breaking a dahi handi.

More than 400 mandals of zealous Govindas came out to play across the city, breaking matkas filled with butter and curd, singing, dancing and of course, letting the establishment know of their displeasure through various forms of protest.
