Jack Sparrow in New Delhi – Pulling a Rickshaw ‘On Stranger Tides’

Attention world, there’s a Captain Jack Sparrow lookalike driving rickshaws in the Indian capital.

Is the resemblance not shockingly uncanny?

People in India were easily fooled yesterday when this picture of a Delhi rickshaw puller went viral after a Facebook user Meynell Arora posted it on her timeline.

We’re still out hunting for his name, biography, his connections to the pirate world, etc., but in the meantime Pirates of the Caribbean fans are reeling from the extreme doppelganger effect, to ask in hushed tones – could this be Captain Jack Sparrow?

In fact, show this picture to Johnny Depp, who has reprised his role of Captain Jack Sparrow for the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise – Dead Man Tell No Tales, and he might be shocked too.

However, this isn’t the first time that a celebrity lookalike has confounded us. Less than three days ago, a picture of a Pakistani cricket fan was doing the rounds on Twitter. What was so special about him? Well, he looked like a much-starved version of Indian cricket star Virat Kohli.
