Linda Sarsour, a Palestinian-American from Brooklyn, co-chaired the Women’s March in Washington on 21 January, a day after President Trump’s inauguration. She’s also the executive director of the Arab American Association of New York. She’s been working for progressive causes for more than a decade now.

However, post the Women’s March that saw scores of women take to the streets, Linda was targeted with hate for her role in the march. She responded to the Islamophobes with this Facebook post:

I have helped build a movement, I am ready for what’s to come so they can spew alternative facts and piece a twisted narrative together if they want - we will still rise.

Cutting through all the hate was the internet that came out in Linda’s support with #IMarchWithLinda.

Linda responded to all the support with a heartwarming post on Facebook, which has gone on viral.
