As 8 November closes in, the scandal around Hillary Clinton’s leaked emails sticks out like a sore thumb in her eventful campaign.
As people lap up juicy or not so juicy details from her private emails, there’s one in particular that has grabbed eye-balls in India. Not courtesy any political scandal, but a near blasphemous Bollywood related one instead – not remembering Big B’s name... and then spelling it wrong.
It all started with a tweet by Jose A DelReal, a political reporter for Washington Post.
Dated 2011, Clinton sent the email to her close aide Huma Abedin. The content of the email reads “What’s the name of the famous older Indian actor we met a few years ago?”
And four hours later, Abedin clears Clinton’s pressing inquiry by coolly replying “Amitabh bachan”.
Here’s how some Twitterati have responded.
