“It is our duty and our honour to keep them alive in memory, for those who come after us and those who come after them, for as long as men draw breath,” said Jon Snow, as the funeral pyre is lit for those who sacrificed their lives in the Battle of Winterfell in HBO’s Game of Thrones, Season 8.

GoT S8 E4 saw the closing of a few chapters and the reopening of others as the battle for the Iron Throne began. Identities became increasingly important and it’s difficult to imagine how it will all end (probably not well considering the show’s history).

There was action and more deaths — it is Game of Thrones after all — as the battle for the Iron Throne played out, leading to some extreme reactions from tweeple.

Then There Were the Naysayers...

There were definitely those who did not like the episode that followed the epic Battle of Winterfell.
