Hip-hop artist Eminem has never been one to hold back or mince words, and the Detroit rapper has, once again, expressed his displeasure in a very vocal manner — this time with the Trump administration.
Watch the censored version of the video of him deriding President Trump here.
In the 4-minute-long freestyle verse, Slim Shady (who can be seen sporting a beard that had become the subject of much online chatter a few weeks ago), addresses the President’s lax attitude on Puerto Rico and gun laws, adding that Trump would rather bash NFL players on Twitter than pay attention where it is due.
Besides his indifference to such matters, Trump’s stance on immigration and the Wall, his proposed tax reforms, racism, and, hilariously, the President’s (in)famous orange tan also come up in the rap.
In the final four lines of the verse, the rapper/record producer asks his fans who are also Trump supporters to pick sides.
And any fan of mine,
I am drawing in the sand a line,
You’re either for or against,
And if you can’t decide,
Who you like more, and you’re split,
On who you should stand beside,
I’ll do it for you with this: F**k you.
Eminem had earlier told his Facebook followers to tune in to the BET Awards later at night.
The video amassed 169K YouTube views within 3 hours, and 3 million views on Facebook.
The comment section is mixed at this point, with some praising the artist for having voiced his thoughts, and others saying the artist should stick to making music instead of talking politics.
Donald Trump has not yet responded to the rap verse, or reacted to it in any way.
