Just when we were recovering from the Kiki Challenge hangover, another Internet trend has taken netizens by storm.

Dragon Breath is the latest craze on the internet. The secret behind the cold steamy breath is the meringue kiss candy dipped in liquid nitrogen.

As reported by New York Post, this seemingly harmless candy is actually dangerous... it could melt a person’s mouth as well as their internal organs! Suffolk County Commissioner of Health Services James Tomarken, in a statement, said that the cold treat, which tastes like ‘Fruit Loops,’ could cause “frostbite, skin tissue damage and suffocation.”

The frosty dessert has sparked a whirl of Twitter and Instagram videos with people showing off their ‘smoke’ breathing techniques.

The chemical’s extremely low temperature, between negative 196 and negative 320 degrees, puts people at risk when it’s not completely removed, said Tomarken.
