The Guangxi New Media Centre in China came under Twitter’s radar, being heavily trolled for its uncanny resemblance to the male genitalia.

Netizens did not take long to ridicule the design of the building based in south-east China, with many calling it “unacceptable”. The structure in question, took over two years to build.

Outraged by the design, a local edited the video and added a fireworks display to it.

Without losing a beat, Twitterati took the cue to poke fun at the new structure and the architect responsible for the planning and construction of the building.

To their credit, the local media explained, the design of the building was intended to resemble the sloping terraced landscape that is dominant in Guangxi and Yunnan Provinces.
