Rocky and Rambo fans were thrown into a fit of shock after a fake news story declaring him dead– allegedly reported by US news site CNN – was shared on Facebook.
He did not refer to the death hoax directly but dismissed the rumours in style with a cheeky smile and boxing pose, proving he’s as fit as ever.
The Rocky star shared a snap holding up his fists with Sergey “Krusher” Kovzalev on Saturday.
Some of his fans mourned his death on Twitter after the fake news report got out.
Only later did people realise that it was a scam which got shared on their Facebook timelines if people clicked on it.
In August, Will Smith’s son Jaden Smith was the subject of a similar prank , when a video was uploaded on Facebook which claimed to feature him saying goodbye to his father before allegedly committing suicide.
