We often come across mothers of eligible bachelors scouting out for prospective brides and thrusting phone numbers into their hands...in case the single ladies change their mind and agree to enter into a suicidal nuptial alliance.

And have you noticed how all parents always look for tall, slim, beautiful and homely brides for their pampered sons in matrimonial advertisements?

Krupa Varghese, Anukripa Elango and Asmita Ghosh from IIT-Madras parodied Carly Rae Jepson’s along the theme of a matrimonial advertisement as a pitch for Saahitya 2016′s Sir Mix-A-Lot song parody contest.

Titled Be Our Pondati, the song is as funny as it’s true. Check it out!

Well, do you have what it takes to be a Pondati?
