You can call 2018 the year of challenges. From Kiki, to Dele Alli, to Jesse Lingard and now the ‘Baby Shark Challenge’, it has been a busy year for the internet.
But where did ‘Baby Shark’ come from? It originated from a viral children’s jingle on YouTube, made by Pinkfong. The video has over 1.6 billion views already.
The challenge began when people started making simple dance video on this song and tagging more people to follow suit. This challenge too was similar to Kiki challenge in more ways than one. People started dancing on the kid’s jingle outside their cars.
Parents and children were seen dressing up as sharks during their performances.
It's currently sitting at number 32 on YouTube’s viral videos , rubbing fins with Ariana Grande and Drake.
