The National Green Tribunal has finally green-lighted Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Yamuna-based World Culture Festival, but with a fine of Rs 5 crore. The order came after much back-and-forth on the controversy surrounding the event’s scale, environmental impact and economic irregularities. The damage, though, has already been done.
