Here’s what happened. Amitabh Bachchan tweeted a photo of the team behind the award-winning film, Pink.
Twitter noticed that a film about women empowerment does not have any photo of woman in it. And they called out the irony.
While it would be wonderful if a film about women empowerment, talking about their struggles was made by an all-women cast and crew (here’s to the team of Lipstick Under My Burkha), could we take a moment to appreciate the men behind Pink? A women-centric film which began the important discussion around women’s safety and why “no means no”.
We need men and women; we need everyone on board to fight the evils of society.
So can we, for a moment, calm down Twitter?
