Add Some Sasti Masti to ‘Cheap Thrills’ With This Sanskrit Version

Sia’s ‘Cheap Thrills’ created ripples with audiences worldwide. The song was so popular that an Indian version popped up a few months ago called ‘Sasti Masti’, which, needless to say, was also catchy as hell.

Now, it seems like a Sanskrit version of ‘Cheap Thrills’ is going viral. While most of us may have difficulty understanding the words, Sanskrit Nirjhar has translated the song from English. In the video’s description, he writes that he’s done this to promote the Sanskrit language.

It has been difficult for Sanskirt to find footing with the new age Indians, and this age old language is now known only to a select few. It’s good to see such renditions surface, showing that we haven’t really forgotten our roots.
