From stealing each other’s clothes, bags and shoes to knowing all of each other’s deepest, darkest secrets - there’s nothing sisters don’t share. Admit it! We hate our sisters just as much as we love them.
Being the older sister pretty much means being blackmailed all your life, but that doesn’t really mean being the younger one is easy. If you’re the younger one, you’re sure to get hand-me-downs and nothing new of your own EVER. Of course, not to forget you’ll always be treated like the “baby” of the house, irrespective of how old you are.
This video featuring the Pataakha sisters, Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan, captures struggles of having a sister. If you have one, we bet this will make you scream, “THIS IS ME!”.
Starring Dangal’s Sanya Malhotra and television ator Radhika Madan, two sisters who can’t stand the sight of one another, director Vishal Bhardwaj seems to use their relationship as a metaphor for India and Pakistan’s relationship.
Verbal abuses are hurled, blows are exchanged, and the desire to be as detached from one another, are portrayed perfectly by the two actors in the film’s trailer. The two sisters find their fates inextricably linked, when they both elope to run away from an ill-fated marriage with a Mr Patel, only to find that they have eloped with two brothers, thereby sealing their joint fates forever- a message that Bhardwaj possibly wishes to reiterate towards India and Pakistan as well.
This Vishal Bhardwaj entertainer is set to release on 28 September.
