Actor Mona Singh, who is best known for her titular role in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, recently starred in the Netflix series Kaala Paani. The popular actor recently also featured in the second season of Made in Heaven, where she played the role of Bulbul.

Having also played a pivotal role in the Aamir Khan-starrer 3 Idiots, Mona Singh has made her niche in the Bollywood film industry over the past few years.

The actor took some time out to show The Quint around her house in Mumbai, talk about her journey, her single-minded pursuit of becoming an actor, her views on marriage, and more.

Mona Singh opened up about working with Aamir Khan, she said:

"When I met Aamir Khan on the sets of '3 Idiots' I thought he would be a strict guy with attitude because he is a genius. He is known as Mr. Perfectionist. But then later, I realised that he was very sweet. He was trying to help everybody, talking to everyone, treating everyone as an equal; that's what made him a star."

She also spoke about how she got into action as well:

"It did not happen by chance. It was very clear that I wanted to pursue acting. My parents were very clear about one thing that I needed to complete my graduation. Just in case it doesn't work out, I have a backup plan. My father was settled in Pune, and I used to travel from there. I used to give auditions for advertisements and then take the night bus back to Pune from Mumbai."
