Dear World, I have some very sad news for you. Fox announced on 10 May, that the extremely popular television sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine, has been dropped by the production house. Yep, that’s right no more seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

The news that the show – which has been lauded by many for its inclusiveness, representation and above all impeccable comic timing – was cancelled by its producers at Fox came as a shock to many.

In its course of five seasons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine not only received numerous awards and accolades (including two Emmy Awards), but also became a fan-favourite for millions amongst its audience.

Naturally, the loss of such a gem from the entertainment world wasn’t received very well by the Twitterverse. Fans of the sitcom took to the platform, expressing their grief, anger and frustration over the incredibly upsetting news.

Wait, What?
