An elderly beggar named Nalini Sharma, a regular presence at the Ambe Mata Temple at Bajrangarh in Ajmer used to saved up money and deposit it in a bank. When she passed way in August 2018, the trustees whom she had entrusted her savings knew her dying wish, to put her savings towards the good of the nation.
Why Nalini Sharma continued to beg despite having these savings is not known. But what is clear is that she was respected by both the visitors to the temple and those whom she entrusted with her savings.
“The devotees have always treated her with respect, and donated alms along with food and clothes,” the temple priest is reported to have said to The Times of India.
