Blind faith can be dangerous. We saw a livid example of it when thousands of Dera Sacha Sauda ‘premis’ wreaked havoc after their Guruji was convicted as a rapist.

After that, one artist decided to parody the fraudman in a series of reimagined comic book cover, starring the rapist extraordinaire.

Chandigarh-based artist Saksham Verma hopes his sarcastic take on the life and crimes of the so called Guruji makes you question blind faith, though he does have his limits.

Throughout the series I have consciously stayed clear of using Ram Rahim’s name, only stuck to using the words Love Charzer. I can’t speak overtly against Ram Rahim in fear of backlash by the followers. They can even burn my car or cause me physical harm.

The entire Ram Rahim chapter was cringeworthy to say the least. The horror stories that surfaced after the verdict came out made me speechless. And yet there were people in support of him. Even educated ‘premis’ in denial of his crimes. I was shocked at their insensitiveness to the victims and frankly intrigued by the many conspiracy theories. A few of the covers reflect that as well.
