Dear Soldier,

A simple ‘Thank you’ isn’t enough for your selfless devotion at the borders... You watch while we sleep!

I come from an army background. So I know and respect the sacrifices that you make. My father, a proud Indian officer fought in wars – Indo-China, Indo-Pak – and died at the Bangladesh border.

Wars are not just a sum of battles and valour, but also sacrifice – a tragic loss of men and officers. Can any medal of the highest honour compensate for that loss? Ask those families that get left behind. Yet, you bravely carry on. You put your lives at stake for the well-being of our country.

So along with a big THANK YOU, we, the whole country pray that God protects you and blesses you for all that you do.

Jai Hind!

Indira
