Dear Soldier,
I am writing my Sandesh to a Soldier to address all the brave men who have helped the Indian flag fly high since 70 years. And I am certain they will continue to do so in the coming years.
The Armed forces have always motivated me to never be afraid of any situation. Dear soldier, you have always kept “nation first and family second,” and that says enough about your dedication to protect our country. I strongly feel that your sacrifice for the country is priceless and your contribution is unforgettable.
Soldiers are the real heroes who patrol the borders at extreme temperatures of either -30°C or 50°C. Without any holidays, you stand like a rock for our motherland.
Diwali crackers come with a "Burn from a distance" warning, but what you go through – when you stand in the line of fire, undeterred and ready to take a bullet to protect our country – makes me realise that it's because of you that we enjoy these festivals. We are thankful to you for your sacrifices that you make for the sake of our safety. India is the largest democracy in the world and has stayed united not because our Constitution was drafted so, but because you, the soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces, guard our country without any complaints.
I part with this saying, “Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it... It flies with every last breath of the soldier who died protecting it.”
Jai Hind!
