Dear Soldier,

I salute you all for sacrificing many of your comforts to safeguard the nation. My grandfather too served in the Indian Army in 1940s and was imprisoned in Japan, but later released. He used to narrate to me how a soldier would always have to be alert, punctual, and obedient. He would take decisions keeping in view the honour of the country. Above all, it was a soldier’s disciplined life that made him stand apart from the rest. I have learned a great deal from you.

I believe, no nation can prosper without soldiers who are brave enough to lay down their lives for the security of their countrymen. We salute you all.

Thank you, and Jai Hind!
