In India, every day Rs 244 crore worth of food goes to waste.
19 crore people sleep hungry.
3000 kids die due to hunger and malnutrition.
Hard facts that require our attention!
Robin Hood Army is a volunteer based organisation which aims to eradicate food wastage and hunger.
Simple! We collect surplus food from restaurants, weddings, parties, anywhere and distribute it to those in need. People living in slums, footpaths, under the flyovers, in orphanages, etc benefit from our service. We function in a decentralised manner and are currently in 80 cities all over the world.
We are students, working professionals, home makers – basically anybody who wishes to serve the society apart from living the daily routine life. Most of the people who go hungry are at an unfair point of disadvantage, we feel we are fortunate enough and that adds to our responsibility.
This Independence day, RHA is on a mission to feed 1 million citizens in its #MissionMillion2018 and requires help to serve the remaining 189 million who will sleep hungry.
For this we have launched #MissionMillion2018. We're requesting our cultural and change makers to join us in our mission of building a hunger-free India. Join us and be a part of this change.
