No authority listens to us or is there to listen to our problems.

My name is Rishabh Sharma and I reside in North West Delhi’s Nangloi.

The street I live on is very filthy, due to sewage flooding out in the open. This leads to mosquito-breeding and further disease. The residents of Nangloi have been facing this problem for two years now, but our MLA, MP, or even the MCD won’t listen to us. I have seen a lot of accidents on the street, and it is troubling to see children walking to school ending up in this filthy mess.

“The situation is really bad. The water level is up to one foot. No authority listens to us or is there to listen to our problems.”
Inderjeet, Resident

I have tweeted and tagged Arvind Kejriwal for help, but got no response.

“We have told our MLA and our MP as well. They say they will solve the problem but they don’t do anything, only make false promises.”
Rai Singh, Resident

Our main problem is that my street is at the boundary of two constituencies, due to which no MLA cares about its condition. Both MLAs are from Aam Aadmi Party. Recently, a group of 15 women reported this problem to the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) but no good came of it. The netas only come when it is time for the elections.

“When it’s time to vote, they say we will do it in 7 days or 10 days, but they don’t even in 10 years. They finish five years (in power) and that’s all. They do no other work.”
Rai Singh, Resident

Despite repeated pleas, no one has come to our rescue. I would like to ask Sukhbir Singh Dalal – kya hua tera vaada?

If you don't provide people with good roads, how will they commute?
