The IAF strikes in Pakistan and consequent strike in Indian airspace have dominated political discourse recently, with cries of war erupting on Twitter and other social media platforms.
Youth from India and Pakistan told the The Quint’s My Report that both countries must exercise restraint, and a peaceful dialogue is the most apt way to deal with the current situation. As Shabana Islam Laskar from Guwahati puts it,
Krishnanath, a student from Hyderabad, said,
Sarmad Iqbal, a blogger and student from Lahore, said he wishes the Indian and Pakistani leadership reach an amicable solution and put an end to the chaos and fanaticism that comes with cries of war.
Aakash, another student from Lahore, said that the situation would be out of control if a war-like situation arises.
#SayNoToWar echoes on either side of the border.
