We are a group of homebuyers who have booked floors in BPTPs ‘Park-81’ located in Sector 81, Faridabad.
In 2009-10, at the time of booking, we were assured, as per the agreement, that the project will be completed within 24 months, with 6 months grace period and would be delivered latest by mid-2013. However, only half of the units sold were delivered then and many buyers are still awaiting possession despite paying 90 percent of the purchase price.
The project is delayed by 7 years now but still there is hardly any construction activity going on at the site.
The ‘under-construction’ units are lying unattended for the last 6 or 7 years, thereby badly exposing the structure and making it weak as the days go by.
This is the situation of our investment despite paying hefty sums to the builder as well as to the banks from whom we have taken loans.
All of people’s life savings and hard-earned money is lost.
There are several people like me whose money is stuck in this project. BPTP says it is short on funds, but it is investing money in other projects while duping new customers, so that like us, they also end up on the streets.
There is a new project being launched by them in the same sector, but when it comes to those of us still awaiting possession for the old one, it seems that BPTP is just not bothered.
Even after several follow-up meetings, emails, and phone calls with BPTP on the project schedule, the builder only gives us false promises and fails to keep to them, time and time again.
Even the flat owners who have received possession are facing maintenance and other issues like no parking, no play area, no club, etc. As Anshuman Buhunia, a fellow homebuyer, says,
My Report spoke to Rohit Mohan, VP of Marketing and Customer Service at BPTP regarding the status of the housing project.
He further added that BPTP aims to deliver the houses left by the end of 2019.
