Dear photographers, do all the photos you upload to social media look the same? Are you looking for a new unexplored place to capture? Well, we have the perfect photo destination for you. Pachmarhi is a hill station in Madhya Pradesh that is situated in a valley of the Satpura Range. Its great natural beauty and eco-diversity has led to it being called the Queen of Satpura and it has even been designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
The name Pachmarhi is believed to have been derived from the five caves that were supposedly built here by the Pandavas during their exile. These caves are situated on a hilltop and attract lots of tourists and photographers, all year. In addition to these famous caves, there’s an endless list of places to see and photograph here, including Handi Khoh, Mahadeo Hills, Rajat Pratap waterfall.
But there are more reasons to visit this unique destination. Pachmarhi has been a cantonment town since the British Raj and the old colonial charm is still visible in beautiful cottages and churches located across the hill station.
Just 81 kilometres away from Pachmarhi is the hidden hill station, Tamia. It’s the perfect monsoon getaway with its many British era houses and breath-taking views of mountains and deep valleys (perfect for those sunset shots). Patalkot, a horse-shoe shaped valley surrounded by hills, is the main attraction at Tamia. Want to know what else you can click there? Watch the video.
