Summers are here and so are the Indian Railways’ travel tours.
As a part of the special Bharat Darshan tourist trains, the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has come up with different packages for different rides and destinations. Out of the three special packages, one is the Dakshina Bharat Yatra, which offers a package of six night and seven days. The package starts from Rs. 14,790, and includes destinations of Madurai, Rameshwaram and Kanyakumari.
The package includes accommodation, sightseeing, meals i.e. breakfast and dinner, return train fare etc. The reasonable cost and the facilities included are a boon for the customers.
The interesting fact is that generally sleeper class trains without air conditioning are used for the tours which carry 500 passengers in total, but this journey includes the travel through third AC and sleeper class.
As per the IRCTC tourism website, the trains will departure every Friday from 19 May to 20 April 2019. In case of any emergency the cancellation of tickets can be made through the IRCTC website itself.
So instead of just sitting inside, why not travel around with all the luxuries you need at a reasonable price.
