Good news for Indian travellers who love exotic beaches and nature! Thailand has waived visa fee on arrival for tourists from 21 countries including India.
To boost tourism, the Thai government will waive the 2,000-baht fee for visa on arrival scheme for visitors staying in the Southeast Asian nation for no more than 15 days, Outlook India reported.
According to the Outlook India report, tourists from these countries are entitled to apply for VoA at 48 designated immigration checkpoints, which allow tourists to enter the country and stay for a maximum of 15 days.
The exemption is expected to increase foreign arrivals to nearly 40 million, local media reports said, adding that the revenue from tourism accounts for 20 percent of Thailand’s GDP.
