Three young rappers from Khirkee, an urban village that rubs shoulders with the capital’s swankiest malls, come together to convert their rhymes into livelihoods.

MC Freezak, MC Akshay and MC Hari are hoping to channel their hip-hop skills into a T-shirt brand launched with the help of London-based textile designer Yemi Awosile.

The boys were introduced to Yemi through their mentor Astha Chauhan, who’s known them since they were little punks roaming the streets of Khirkee. Astha hopes that the newly launched label enables them to support their families without abandoning hip-hop.

The first batch of 40 T-shirts were all sold out. They boys are currently working on designing and printing a fresh batch.
