Feels like it was winter yesterday and we were cribbing about the flaky, dry skin. Now it’s summer and our skin isn’t any better. Our hair has become worse that what it was thanks to the humidity.
So, here we have some beauty hacks that will help you get through this unforgiving summer heat and will save your skin and hair a lot of heat damage.
One thing that we should absolutely steer clear of during the summers is loading our skin with heavy creamy moisturisers. Because these will do more harm than good. The oil in these creams will just fry your skin in the heat and make you sweat a lot. It might even clog your pores giving you infections and acne.
During summers wash your face with a good cleanser and then apply seaweed or vitamin C serum. Serums usually have essential oils in them which are enough to deliver the right amount of moisture to your skin without clogging the pores.
We cannot stress enough at how damaging heavy creams and oils are for your skin in summers. Sunscreen is something you need to wear all year round, but you cannot use the same sunscreen that you during Winters in summers. For summers get yourself a high SPF, 50 or above, gel-based sunscreen. This won’t clog your pores and will give you a light fresh matt look.
During the heat, loading your hair with oil doesn’t sound too good. Besides the gory oil dripping image of oiled hair in heat, this isn’t actually good for your hair. But you need to get that oil in your hair somehow, so using oil infused shampoos and conditioners are the best way without frying your hair in the heat. Apply the conditioner after mildly drying your hair using a towel so that it gets absorbed by the hair better. Argan oil is really good for the hair to look for shampoos and conditioners with Argan oil in them
We Indian girls are never satisfied with our look until we line our waterline with a black kajal. However, during the summers by the time you get ready to leave, your kajal is smudged because of the heat and sweating. So during the summertime, you need to invest in a good waterproof kohl pencil.
One of the most hyped trend this summer is the glossy makeup. So instead of wearing a matt lipstick that will just dry out your lips, wear a nice gloss or a tinted lip balm in a peppy colour like coral or bright pink. This will make you look great and will also keep your lips supple and moisturised.
So with these summer beauty hacks, you are now all ready and armed to beat the summer heat and keep looking like the goddess that you are.
