How we all wish we could buy more time, every day. Guess what, today you’ll be granted that wish. When the clock struck 23:59:59 last night, a leap second got added to the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
But due to time difference, in India the extra second would be added on July 1, 2015 at 05:59:59 hours.
So what’s a leap second? It’s an adjustment made to accommodate the slow rotation of the earth. The first leap second was introduced on January 1, 1972.
Now that you’ve got a whole extra second on your hand, we at The Quint thought of things that can be possibly done in a second.
On your mark, ready, steady, go.
Remember those times when you just want to sleep for a second more? Well guys, the moment has arrived. Go ahead and hit that snooze button.
Let’s celebrate, we’ve got more time on our hands folks! Here’s to one more second and one more shot of Tequila. Cheers!
For all the times, you’ve read and reread and, did we mention reread, a mail before sending it — you’ve got another second to think about it before you press the ‘send’ button.
It just takes a second to say “I Love You”, but these three words stay with you for a lifetime. So make each second count.
Just take a deep long breath, keep calm and move on!
If you plan to do nothing, at least fart. End the day with a good, loud, stinking fart. Your stomach deserves it.
Come on guys, just log on to Facebook, visit The Quint’s page, and like it. Or at least like this article. It takes only a second. And now you have an extra one!
